6 matchdays · 74 fixturesThe Nations League is Concacaf's competition for the national teams of North and Central America and the Caribbean, played in the international windows of the club season. The 41 nations are sorted by strength into three leagues. Four of them — Mexico, the United States, Canada and Panama, the 2024-25 semi-finalists — skip the group stage altogether and enter at the quarter-finals in November. The other 37 play groups: League A is two groups of six, League B four groups of four, League C three groups of three. A League A group does not play a full round-robin — each side plays four matches, so it meets only some of its group — while Leagues B and C play home and away. The group tables decide everything that follows. In League A the top two of each group join the four pre-seeded sides in the quarter-finals, and the bottom two are relegated. In Leagues B and C the group winners are promoted, and League B's bottom sides go down. The Play-In, the two-legged quarter-finals and the finals in March 2027 are not on the schedule yet: they arrive as rounds when Concacaf draws them.
League phase
Who plays · 37 of Concacaf's 41 nations: 12 in League A, 16 in League B and 9 in League C, ranked into the leagues by how they finished in 2024-25 — the promoted and the relegated moved one league up or down. Mexico, the United States, Canada and Panama are pre-seeded to the quarter-finals and play no group.
Draw · Drawn by Concacaf league by league: two groups of six in League A, four groups of four in League B, three groups of three in League C.
When · The September and October windows, 23 September to 7 October 2026, carry League A's four matchdays, League B's first four and all six of League C's — a three-team group plays one match a matchday, one side resting. League B's last two matchdays fall in the November window and are not listed by any feed yet.
How it works · Three points for a win; ties on points are settled by goal difference first, then goals scored, then head-to-head. A League A side plays four matches against three of its five group-mates — one of them home and away, the other two once — so the table ranks sides that never met; Leagues B and C are double round-robins. What a place means depends on the league. League A: the top two go to the quarter-finals, fifth and sixth are relegated to League B. League B: the group winner is promoted to League A, fourth is relegated to League C. League C: the group winner is promoted to League B.
